LACK OF INSURANCE DOES NOT STOP US FROM GETTING YOU WHAT YOU DESERVE
Under the Compulsory Automobiles Insurance Act, all vehicles in Ontario are required by law to have valid insurance. Nonetheless, there are still a number of drivers on the road driving with expired or no insurance at all. If you fall victim to an accident with a non-insured vehicle, do not be led to believe you have no recourse. At Virk Personal Injury Law we have successfully investigated uninsured cases and got our clients the settlement they deserved for their damages.
WE GET YOU IMMEDIATE HELP
If you have been involved in an accident with an uninsured driver, you may still have a case to pursue. In Ontario, you can look to your own insurance company or if you do not have insurance, we can pursue the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund for accident benefits. Benefits that you may be eligible for may include:
- Income Replacement Benefits – if you are unable to work
- Non-Earner Benefits
- Medical and Rehabilitation Benefits including chiropractic, psychological, physiotherapy services; medication; rehabilitative equipment; vocational training, home accessibility modifications and vehicle modifications
- Attendant Care Benefits – for a home attendant and nursing care
- Housekeeping and Home Maintenance Benefits – if you are catastrophically impaired
- Caregiver Benefits – if you are catastrophically impaired
- Other expenses – visitor expenses; funeral expenses; damaged items in the accident; and lost educational expenses.
WE WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SECURITY
We can also sue your insurance company under the appropriate coverage under your auto policy for:
- Pain and suffering damages (for loss of your enjoyment of life)
- Loss of future earnings (financial loss due to the inability to work, reduced earning capacity and loss of future opportunity)
- Future care costs (medical care, rehabilitation and other future costs including nursing or attendant care beyond what is available from accident benefits)
- Housekeeping and Homemaking Services
- Compensation for family members affected by your injuries (for cost of services you provided and the loss of care, guidance and companionship they have suffered)
